Rear ViewI recently purchased the Sony DVPNS75H Single Disc Upscaling DVD Player. I am very pleased with the quality of the upconverted dvd video.

I noticed in other reviews on sites that people are saying it takes the dvd player a very long time (sometimes 2 to 3 minutes) to read dvd’s, and that is definately not the case. I have loaded about 10 different dvd’s into this dvd player and it has taken an average of 15 seconds for it to load. I have no idea why anyone else’s takes any longer than that.

When I purchased this dvd player it was $106, and at that price it is clearly the best looking upconverting player in that range give or take $30. I also ordered HDMI cables for $20, and believe me there really is no reason to spend any more than that when using HDMI. The picture quality is unbelievable. I had no problems at all setting the output to 720p or 1080i, and setting up the correct sound settings were very easy also. The sound quality being output by this dvd player is very high quality.  Movies have never sounded so good with my surround sound setup before.

If you have an HDTV with an HDMI connection this dvd player is well worth the money.
