As an owner of a 1st gen iPhone, 3g is worth the extra 10 dollars versus the current situation of edge. Coupled with the fact that you're getting the new phone for only $40 dollars more over the course of 2 years. In all honesty, the emergence of these details would stray the potential upgrading customers than it would first time buyers. That said, I'm not buying it, they only mentioned one of my big three: -3G with an unlimited flat rate. -MMS!!! (as in no more viewmymessage.com). -iPod/Safari crash being fixed. I'm waiting for those last two to be addressed before I consider forking over more money. I fail to see what the big deal is.
