Well, where do I begin? The last few month have been pretty crazy around here. Blogging is one thing I haven’t had much time for.

Here is a short explanation of some recent happenings…

On September 4, 2008 I was traveling to Cleveland with Endre on business. We needed to pick up the last few supplies for our annual picnic. About half way there I got a call that my Dad was unable to breathe at work and an ambulance had been called. Needless to say, we turned around and I came back towards the office. I went directly to the hospital where my Mom and my Dad’s Secretary were already waiting. I met them in the ER in his room.

At that time when I arrived they still had absolutely no idea what happened to him. He stayed in the hospital for about 2 weeks. During that time he was moved from the ER to the ICU, then to a Neuro floor. They are saying he had a stroke, but no tests can say for sure what actually caused all of this.

Ever since September 4, he has been unable to swallow anything including his own saliva. He had a feeding tube put in because he had no way to eat. A little under 2 weeks ago a procedure was done where they stretched the muscles in his throat with a balloon and gave him a botox shot. That seems to have helped his ability to swallow. Over the last few days he has started eating some food. He still can’t swallow much, but it is a start.

As for everything else I intended on blogging about, it really isn’t important anymore. This happening has changed a lot of things. My life has become completely different.

I will be around, blogging like I used to. But over the last few months I just haven’t really had much to say here…
