As usual, the rumors are circulating around the internet regarding Apple products. This one has been going around for a while now, and it seems we are getting closer to finding out whether it is true or not. According to this TechCrunch article, sources in Asia say that “Apple has placed an order for a massive number of camera modules of the type that they include in the iPhone. These are inexpensive cameras, in the $10 range. And the size of the order means they can only be used for one thing – the iPods.”

It wouldn’t be much of a surprise if this turns out to be true. The iPod Touch is usually updated in September, so this gives plenty of time for the newer models to be manufactured. With the current success of other hand held video devices this seems like a logical progression for the iPod line.

I have included a poll below regarding a new iPod. Please vote. I am curious to see if this is a feature people are really looking for.

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

This bundle retails for $79.99 at most places and Amazon.com had it on sale for $64.99. I thought to myself well why not just get the bundle then? The camera itself costs $39.99 so the fact that I was getting the camera and the 12 month subscription sounded great. But that wasn’t it… The bundle also comes included with 2 arcade games, an extra Live headset, and 200 Microsoft Points. Purchasing all of these things seperate would easily cost over $110 so the $65 i spent on it was well worth it.

Now a little about the Camera itself…

From what I have noticed the quality is pretty good considering the price. Once thing I don’t like very much, but makes gaming with it much easier, is the fact that when you see yourself you are always mirrored. You can use the camera to take a personal pic of yourself that will show to people on your friends list if you want rather than just using a generic gamer picture. Obviously when you take photos or do a video chat the image is normal to those viewing.

Another cool thing about the camera is the fact that you can attatch it to your computer and use it at a webcam. Hopefully they will add more games that use the Vision Camera because TotemBall is only entertaining for about 10 minutes as you try and figure out what the hell you are doing.

For right now I have to give this whole bundle a rating of 4 Stars because of it’s great price and because of the potential of the camera.
